If You Have Pain…
Advanced Medical Care Center Can Help.

At Advanced Medical Care Center, Dr. Tawadrous provides comprehensive pain management services, implementing interventional pain management guidelines, offering a wide range of evaluations and treatments for any pain state; from acute pain to chronic pain.

Answering the question: “What is pain management?” begins with an understanding of the many conditions and symptoms associated with people who are living with pain. Many pain problems exist which may cause acute pain, chronic pain or pain which comes and goes and most of them will require pain management treatments. Pain is a universal problem that affects people of all backgrounds and ages and can be a result of injury, illness or genetic conditions. Pain is an individual experience, unique to each person and may include a full range of physical feelings and sensations such as achiness, stiffness and tightness, numbing and burning. Some pain symptoms may change over time in duration, severity, and persistence. Headaches, tension headaches, neck pain and back pain are more common and will be experienced by most people on occasions throughout their lives.

The most advanced pain management technologies are available at Advanced Medical Care Center, where Dr. Tawadrous provides treatments to reduce pain and suffering, decrease hospital stays and improve the quality of his patients’ lives.

Pain can affect your ability to perform activities of daily living. Often the symptoms of joint pain, low back pain, upper back pain, hip pain, leg pain and neck pain are considered non-specific pain symptoms because these conditions are common and can change over time. Many common problems of the joints, such as pain in the fingers, thumbs, elbows, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, back or wrists, such as carpel tunnel syndrome, may be chronic or the pain symptoms may appear and disappear or may be affected by excessive stress, strain and external or physical conditions. Joint pain may be caused by arthritis or osteoarthritis, which can include muscle aches and stiffness.

Dr. Tawadrous is a pain management doctor committed to providing patients with state of the art pain management treatments. Currently, with three offices located throughout New Jersey and offering convenient office hours, Advanced Medical Care Center is your center for pain management. Following pain management guidelines and caring for each of his patients with specialized pain management services developed to decrease pain and improve functional ability, as your pain management specialist, Dr. Tawadrous strives for your well being.

Advanced Pain Management

Chronic pain is a complex condition with multiple layers of challenges, many which unfortunately are invisible to others except to the person suffering. It often has multiple facets to its presentation ranging from physical, emotional to social factors. Unfortunately, very commonly, chronic pain goes untreated or under treated in our society.

At Advanced Medical Care Center we believe that best care starts with a thorough history taking and examination, followed by diagnostics, if indicated
(X-ray, MRI, CT, EMG/NCV) and functional evaluation. Thereafter, a treatment plan is formulated with the patient, which is tailored to individual medical needs. Patients are involved in every step of their care.

Given the complexity of providing ultimate and comprehensive pain management care with multi-modal approaches, we refer to other physicians as needed (see below).

AMCC provides specific treatments, such as medications, injections, nerve blocks and PENS (Percutaneous Electro Neuro Stimulation). If needed, interventional pain procedures and more invasive approaches may be used.

Reliance on only one or less than needed modalities, may result in minimal or partial improvement.

Our approach is to identify and treat the cause of pain as well as alleviate symptoms. Our ultimate goal is to improve our patients’ function and well-being in the most compassionate and state of the art treatments.
